A new Earthblade reveal trailer from The Game Awards 2022 shows off gameplay and a new release date.
The creators of Celeste, Extremely OK Games, announced an official rough release date and a new reveal trailer for their upcoming game Earthblade at The Game Awards 2022.
Earthblade is set to release sometime in 2024 on PC via Steam, according to the trailer. There is no word on whether the game will be available on consoles or other platforms.
The trailer showcases gorgeous, vibrant pixel art with a huge world for players to explore. Players in the 2D adventure platformer can jump, hop, and dodge their way to their objectives while encountering unique enemies, such as huge green beetles. Not a lot was known about Earthblade before now, aside from its title and a single development gif, so it’s great that developers have released some footage.
Earthblade was originally announced in 2021, and fans of Extremely OK Games have eagerly awaited more updates since word of the game first came out. With the game’s announcement over a year ago, many fans were hoping for a late 2022 or 2023 release date. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case, but we can only hope the game is worth the wait.
