Dead Cells has started off The Game Awards strong with a brand new DLC that adds Castlevania characters to the game. The trailer shows off Simon Belmont, Alucard, and Dracula alongside your Dead Cells character.
The DLC is currently expected to release in Q1 2023, and we’ll likely get more information on what the DLC contains closer to the time.
The Steam page states the following:
“The inspiration behind it all returns to its 2D action roots! Castlevania’s unforgettable characters & gothic setting meet the fast-paced combat of the award-winning roguelite Dead Cells in this unprecedented collaboration.”
You’ll be able to collect weapons from multiple different games in the series, such as the Vampire Killer, the Throwing Axe, and the Holy Water. You can explore all of Dracula’s Castle while listening to 51 tracks from the original game, with twelve tracks fully reimagined for the world of Dead Cells. There are even three brand-new boss fights!
